Assignment 1: E-Wallpaper

This is a step by step progress on how I completed my E-Wallpaper assignment.

Step 1:
I searched the internet for an abstract image and chose this as the wallpaper, and I set it to A4 size.

Step 2:
I selected the rectangle marquee tool to make the white banner on top of the image. To do that, I created a new layer so that it does not mix with the background layer. The opacity of the new layer is 50%.

Step 3:
I chose the MMU banner and placed it on the marquee banner I created earlier.

Step 4:
I searched the internet for an image or photo that portrays FOM building and students. I chose this photo and placed it in the middle of my background. Then, I set the opacity as 80% for this layer.

Step 5:
Below the image, I filled in information in wordings about the Open Day using horizontal type tool.

For this e-wallpaper, I have created a tagline which says "Come and visit us for the beginning of your pursuit of knowledge in various fields of management." and placed the tagline below the information.

I also placed a phrase "EVERYONE IS INVITED!" and typed them in capital letters because I wanted to highlight those words.

Step 6:
I copied the layer of the marquee banner that I created earlier for the header and placed it on the bottom of the e-wallpaper as a footer.

Step 7:
I placed the FOM logo on the left side and the "A TM University" logo on the right side of the footer.

Step 8:
Lastly, after completing it, I saved the file as a .JPEG file and a .PSD file. I resized the .JPEG to 1024 x 1448 pixels for less space consumption.

This is the end result of my E-Wallpaper.
